Saturday July 31st sees the Hastings old town inter pub Tug of War Competition outside the Hastings Lifeboat Station on the Stade. Ladies and Men’s teams of eight, £13.50 entry per team, All entries and monies to be paid in to the Fishermen’s Club, 97 All Saints Street Hastings by 17th July. This year’s Hastings 22nd Free Beach Concert is on Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August by the lifeboat house in Hastings old town. Both days start at 1pm to give more time for bands which is as follows.
Sat. 31st: Tangled Webb; Rob Ramsden; Dirty Scarlet; The Lost Boys; Geoff Everett Band; Arivmia; Blair. Sun. 1st: Sambalanca; Lumpy & the Lumpettes; RX53; No Exit; Colonel Mustard; Slam. Entrance is free so please give generously to licensed collectors who will be wearing ID and 2010 Crew t-shirts with official RNLI collection buckets which will be visible on the beach. Beware of imposters.
There will be a mobile bar on the beach, with part of the profit going to RNLI.
No BBQs permitted within the beach concert site.  This is to comply with insurance cover and music will stop until all BBQs have been extinguished. Please don’t leave rubbish on the beach black sacks and skips are provided.
This year there will be a Beach Concert warm up indoors, upstairs at The Carlisle, Hastings seafront on Friday 30th July, starting at 8pm. Confirmed band’s so far are Under The Covers and Tommy Wants A Toy and one other band to be added to the bill at a later date. Admission is £3 with all proceeds going to the RNLI. 
This is a worthwhile event for a very, very, worthwhile cause so please give generously.

Extreme World Wrestling ‘EWW’, formerly based in Oxfordshire is now a Hastings based Professional Wrestling Promotion with a twist. Unlike the dated 'men in tights' format of British Wrestling in the past, EWW is a high octane, explosive action show featuring the best performers in Europe.
On Saturday September 25th, The Phoenix Arts centre will play host to a night of explosive action in a 3 hour spectacular featuring the likes of The Dominator, British Women’s champion Skarlett and from hit movie Dead Man Walking, the awesome monster known as Tiny Iron, and many more larger than life wrestling superstars who will be doing battle. "One of the most innovative shows I've seen in a long time" was the words of Sky Sports commentator and Combat Magazine editor Malcolm Martin after watching Extreme World Wrestling for the first time.
The day before the event, some of the superstars of EWW will be teaching the locals of Hastings how to wrestle in the squared circle. More details in the next issue.
