Hastings Farmer’s Market with local businesses, craft, food and farmer’s produce every Thursday 10am to 3pm, in Hastings town centre.
Tenterden has a regular market in the High Street every Friday, starting 8am ending around noon.
Rye has a regular market every Thursday in the old cattle market from 8am.
Every Mon. at Hotshots Dance Le Roc; absolute beginners very welcome £5 entry. 7.30-11pm, 190 Bexhill Rd St. Leonards (junction of Harley Shute Rd).
17th Feb; another limb tingling blood and thunder show returns to the White Rock Theatre in Hastings with a new line-up of the American Super Slam in this two hour wrestling extravaganza.
3rd Feb. at No.48 Devonshire Rd; Bexhill they are holding another one of their open mic nights, they will be serving food and drink (licensed) as usual and have the Tapas menu available.

Feb. 10th The Counterfeit Stones White Rock in Hastings, celebrate their 21st anniversary with yet another “Sham Rock” experience, 19th Bogus Breakdown. Their skilfully mixed cocktail of classic hits, retro costume and humour continues to intoxicate young and old alike. The history of the Rolling Stones from 1962, will take you back if you were there; or make you wish you were, if you weren’t.

Feb. 25th the Diamond Experience 7.30pm at the Benenden Village Hall in Kent is a show by the established singer and guitarist Bob Drury, recreating the magic of a Neil Diamond performance which delivers a polished and tirelessly practiced interpretation of the voice and guitar combination that has captivated millions of fans over the last five decades. “If you didn’t know better you’d have said that it was Neil Diamond singing!” Tickets will include supper and are available from the Box Office.

Until 12th Feb; at the Stormont Studio in Rye an exhibition celebrating the life and work of John Ryan (Captain Pugwash) Retrospective through his art. The illustrator and animator died in his home town of Rye in 2009 at the age of 88. The creator Captain Pugwash, who became much loved on children's television in the 70's; he also devised The Adventures of Sir Prancelot and Mary, Mungo and Midge. Tel: 01797 222433 for details.

Do you remember how great this film is? - Not only a great song-and-dance film, this classic is also an affectionately funny insider spoof about the film industry's uneasy transition from silent pictures to "talkies". In Martin Blackmans reformed band the Culprits, Martin Blackman Lead Vocals and Acoustic Guitar, Jon Ewen on Percussion and vocals, Chris Barrett on Bass and various guest players, doing some Alternative Country style songs. First gig will be at the Jenny Lind on 3rd. Feb.
A new singing group ‘Local Vocals’ meet at Battle Memorial Hall Feb. 1st from 7-8.30pm. A mixture of Glee and Zumba, the choir will sing and dance to a mixed repertoire of rock, pop, gospel, jazz and Cappella tunes. Run by Jo Wood, an experienced choral director who established the Kent Rock Choirs, it promises to be a great night out. On Preservation Sunday, 19th Feb. the Jenny Lind will be offering a 'live music' breakfast in conjunction with the Fat Tuesday celebrations. Commencing at 10am there will be an acoustic set with a breakfast dining menu.
Phil Mitchell played by Steve McFadden in the long running BBC series EastEnders will be meeting and greeting people at Fluid in Robertson street Hastings from 10pm Feb. 3rd.
The bridge in Three Oaks will be closed from 27th Feb. through till April 2nd this will mean no cars can get over it. But, the Three Oaks pub is still open for food all day from 12-9pm, closing at 11pm.
It is said that a plane is buried close to Doleham Railway station, with the station being closed for a considerable length of time will they start excavating to find out more?

 The ukulele strum-along meets on the first Sunday of every month the next dates are 5th February and 4th March, in the small lounge at the White Rock Hotel, Hastings, from 5pm to 6.30pm
Hastings Rock Radio is planning to return and rock the local airwaves in May 2012, licence permitting. As usual they will be featuring & playing local music during the broadcast, both on the main playlist and also on a dedicated local music programme. Hastings rockers ‘Arivmia’ are pleased to announce that they have recently signed a deal with a UK based record label. They will be going into the studio to record their debut album in May. The album is planned to have a worldwide release in September 2012. 
There will be a Dick Pearce Memorial Concert (Landlord Plough Inn Udimore) at Rye Community Centre on Saturday 3rd March. At the time of going to press the line up will be Buick 6, Pass The Cat and The Turpin-Hubbard Band with more acts to be announced. May 21st the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill, Duane Eddy one of the truly legendary guitarists is back for his second show at the De La Warr Pavilion twenty five years after releasing his last record.
