The Black Horse Festival (28th-31st May) has gone through many changes over the years and if it was not for the hard work of many committee members past and present this fantastic event would not have survived. Now with the cooperation of our new friends at Pestalozzi and Sedlescombe village, The Black Horse Festival can move on into the 21st century. The concept will not change, still keeping the usual respected line-up of Blues, Folk, World and young bands, but now there will be an additional acoustic stage. Both stages will supply quality live music plus fun things going in the arena during the day and there will be no break between afternoon and evening! Artist booked for the main stage include Ade Edmondson & the Bad Shepherds, Festival favourites Baka Beyond, returning after last year’s stonking set Wheeler Street, hot new singer Jo Hamilton, King King, award winning bluegrass act The Carrivick Sisters, and on tour from the states Steve Arvey plus many more to come. The main addition the new site can offer is camping, which is what most people wanted. We will still be offering the free bus, our old friends from Hoagies will be returning to provide their good food and friendly banter. The bar will be provided by White's brewery from Bexhill who will be pouring their award winning Ales and they have promised us unique ‘festival ale’. Ideal if you want to find that festival experience, it’s just up the road and family friendly to. You can help by being a volunteer and in return for a few hours work we can offer a free weekend ticket and camping. Tickets start from as little as £10 and until April, weekend Earlybird tickets are only £50. |
