The Stag in the old town Hastings has a folk night on Tuesdays and a bluegrass night on Wednesdays each week.

The Jenny Lind in the old town Hastings has its Folk session on the first Thursday of the month now.
There is a folk band session at Pissarro’s Hastings 3rd Sunday of each month at lunchtime, starting at 1 o'clock.

The Royal Standard in the Bourne in the old town Hastings has a “Morris tune-up” on the last Tuesday of each month.

The Six Bells Folk and Blues Club meets every alternate Tuesday at the Six Bells Pub, in Chiddingly, from 8pm until late. July 6th is a Singers' & Musicians' evening, July 20th Singers’ & Musicians' evening. For further information, dates and times see www.6bellsfolk.co.uk

There is a folk club upstairs at the Lamb Eastbourne on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Floor singers are welcome but early arrival is recommended.

Mad Jacks Morris continue to meet on Monday evenings at 8pm in St Clements Church House, Croft Road, Hastings.  Mad Jacks Morris programme for July is as follows; Sun. July 4th Hastings Old Town with Cuckoo’s Nest Womens Morris at the White Rock Hotel 1pm then America Ground 2.15pm the Chocolate Factory 3pm onto Butlers Gap 3.45pm then finish at Roc-a-Nore 4.30pm. Sat. July 17th Hastings Old Town with Ditchling Village Morris at the White Rock Hotel 1pm then the Chocolate Factory 2.15pm then Butlers Gap at 3pm and onto Roc-a-Nore 3.45pm.

Sweet Sunny South American Old Time Country Music Festival, Fairlight Lodge Hotel, Fairlight Sept.10th-12th.This will be the eighth year of this popular and successful festival, presenting American old time country music.
The star performers this year are the New Deal String Band. They are father and son duo Tom and Ben Paley together with Joe Locker. Tom was a founder member of the New Lost City Ramblers, one of the most influential bands in the revival of interest in this exciting music. He and Joe Locker are both Americans who have lived in UK for many years.
The concerts will showcase two other acts. Also from America are Hunter Robertson, a banjo virtuoso and Casey Joe Abair, a fiddler from Los Angeles. From nearer home, the Kent based duo, Cut the Shuffle,
The festival takes its usual format with concerts on Friday and Saturday nights and instrument workshops on Saturday and Sunday. In addition this year there will be two extra banjo workshops, one on the history of black banjo players and one on playing blues on the banjo, based around the history of Gus Cannon.
